It is in 1845 that Claude Ducher installs his first nursery in Lyon. Very rapidly, the roses created by the family are becoming international standards: 'Marie Van Houte', 'Rêve d'Or', 'Gloire de Ducher', 'Ducher', 'Mademoiselle Cécile Brunner' and many others are still cultivated worldwide more than a century after their creation.

Following the tradition of the family, Fabien Ducher has created his nursery some years ago and offers you a selection of Ducher’s roses. He also participates in the reintroduction of roses that had disappeared from France. Thus, in 2007, the rose ‘Marie Ducher’ found in New Zealand was reintroduced. Thanks to its marvellous bloom and its extraordinary scent, it should rapidly come back in our garden.

Creator of new rose varieties, Fabien Ducher had started a hybridisation program 10 years ago that directly take its inspiration from the simple but efficient techniques of Joseph Pernet-Ducher and Charles Mallerin. Thanks to this program, you can discover this year the unequalled perfume of ‘Hommage à Soupert & Notting’ which Godfather is the Grand Duc Jean of Luxembourg, or the warm colours of ‘Soyeuse de Lyon’, the rose chosen by the city of Lyon to celebrate de 150th anniversary of the Parc de la tête d’or.
