Claude DUCHER established his rose nursery in the city of Lyon (France) in 1845. He bred many internationally renowned varieties. In 1898, when Joseph PERNET-DUCHER created 'Soleil d'Or', he revolutionized the rose world by introducing the yellow and orange genes in roses. 'Rêve d'Or', 'Mme. Caroline Testout', 'Mlle. Cécile Brunner'and many other creations from the DUCHER family are blooming in gardens all around the world today.
